Qatar Amir performs Eid Al Fitr prayer

Doha, March 30 (QNA) – HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani performed Eid Al Fitr prayer along with citizens at Lusail praying area this morning.
The prayer was also performed by HH Personal Representative of HH The Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HE Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanem, a number of their Excellencies sheikhs and ministers, members of the Shura Council, and a number of their Excellencies ambassadors and heads Diplomatic missions accredited by the state.
Sheikh Dr. Yahya Bati Al Nuaimi delivered the Eid khutbah in which he said that Eid is a day of joy for all those who fasted and prayed sincerely for the sake of Allah.
He added that it was a day of honor for the humble and those who remain steadfast in obedience to Allah, and it is also a day of kindness, connection, and compassion.
He also said that the Muslim holidays are a culmination and celebration of acts of devotion, asking Allah Almighty for acceptance, success, and guidance.
In his khutbah, His Eminence noted that this year’s Eid Al Fitr comes amid a difficult situation, as brothers and sisters in Gaza have been displaced from their homes, their houses destroyed, and many have lost loved ones and family members.
He affirmed that what brings comfort to the heart is faith in Allah and trust in the promise of His Messenger, peace be upon him.
He also stressed that hope is on the horizon, and that relief follows hardship, and ease comes after difficulty.
