Doha, March 05 (QNA) – Qatar Charity has distributed food baskets to displaced families in the outskirts of Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu.
The initiative targets approximately 1,100 families who are experiencing difficult humanitarian conditions.
Director of Qatar Charity’s office in Somalia Abdelfattah Adam Malim commented: “We have allocated the aid to displaced families who have lost their livelihoods due to conflicts and drought.
We hope that this aid will alleviate their suffering during the holy month of Ramadan, promote values of solidarity and mutual support, and enable them to observe fasting in dignified conditions.
“The initiative is part of Qatar Charity’s continued relief efforts in Somalia, where it aims to provide food assistance to families affected by humanitarian crises, particularly with the worsening conditions of displaced persons due to conflicts and droughts.
The baskets included essential food items that meet the families’ needs throughout the holy month, helping them face the challenges related to securing food and promoting the spirit of compassion.
