Qatar Toastmasters Club Celebrates 27 Years of Communication and Leadership Excellence

Doha, Qatar – November 3, 2024: Qatar Toastmasters Club celebrated its 27th anniversary in
grand style at the Radisson Blu Hotel, gathering members and guests for an evening of
reflection, inspiration, and growth. This landmark meeting marked nearly three decades of
empowering individuals in Doha to build their communication and leadership skills through a
supportive, diverse, and dynamic community.
Club President Eman Salameh addressed the audience, emphasizing the significance of this
milestone in the club's journey. She welcomed attendees and introduced the Toastmaster of the
Day, Sudhir Gujar, who eloquently introduced the meeting's theme, “27!” and guided the
program with energy and enthusiasm.
The meeting celebrated the resilience, growth, and achievements that have defined Qatar
Toastmasters Club. Past presidents and longtime members were honored including past District
Directors Raghavan NV, Thayalan Kailayapillai and past club leaders Shoaib Kassem, Johnny
Abou Zeid, Rajesh Nair and Rukhsana Khan, sharing memories that showcased the club’s
legacy of leadership excellence.
The evening continued with engaging speeches and an educational module, “Evaluate to
Motivate,” conducted by Abhishek Chattopadhyay followed by an engaging Quiz.
Veteran leader Thayalan shared insights into his journey of growth within Toastmasters,
highlighting the strong foundations he built through the club's supportive environment.
Raghavan NV, a distinguished mentor and immediate past president, reflected on the club’s rich
legacy, emphasizing how its multicultural membership has fostered a unique and inclusive
learning space that celebrates diverse perspectives.
In her closing remarks, President Eman expressed gratitude to all members, guests, and
dignitaries who attended the event, celebrating the collective accomplishments of the club. As
the meeting adjourned, attendees left with a renewed sense of purpose, inspired to continue the
club’s legacy of communication and leadership excellence.
