In his presidential address, QIFF President Mr. Sharaf P Hameed reflected on the organisation’s remarkable journey, highlighting that QIFF has grown into one of the largest expatriate community football tournaments in Qatar and the Gulf region. He described football as a powerful unifying force that transcends language, culture, and generations.

Special emphasis was placed on the 16th season, which successfully brought together young talents, active players, and veteran footballers within a single structured system. The President also highlighted the introduction of full 11-a-side grounds for youth competitions, marking a major milestone in player development.

Mr. Sharaf P Hameed expressed sincere gratitude to the Indian Embassy, the Qatar Football Association, and the Qatar Sports Authorities for their continued guidance and support. He also acknowledged Al Ahli Stadium for hosting the Grand Finale and Doha Stadium for providing consistent support to QIFF tournaments for more than a decade.

About QIFF

The Qatar Indian Football Forum (QIFF) was founded nearly two decades ago by a group of passionate football enthusiasts from the Indian expatriate community, driven by a simple yet powerful vision — to unite people through football. What began as a small, community-driven initiative has steadily evolved into one of the most organised and widely participated expatriate football platforms in Qatar.

Over the years, QIFF has played a vital role in promoting sportsmanship, discipline, teamwork, and community harmony, offering a structured and competitive platform for hundreds of teams and thousands of players, while fostering enduring friendships across regions, age groups, and cultures.
