Moscow, March 26 (QNA) – The Russian Ministry of Defense Wednesday accused Ukraine of continuing to target Russian civilian energy infrastructure to disrupt the deal on interim measures to resolve the conflict.
In a statement, the Ministry noted that despite Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s public acceptance of the Russian-US accords reached in Riyadh on March 24 to cease assaults on energy facilities, Ukraine has continued to strike Russia’s energy infrastructure.
The Ministry further stated that its air defense systems recently downed two Ukrainian drones, which were targeting ground equipment at the Glybovskyi underground gas storage facility.
In addition, Russia accused Ukraine of destroying civilian energy infrastructure in Russia to disrupt the Russian-US agreements reached on interim measures to resolve the Ukrainian conflict.
Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed Wednesday that conversation with the United States is progressing constructively, adding that he is satisfied with the practical, constructive, and effective development of this conversation.
On Tuesday, the United States and Ukraine announced the results of technical talks held between experts from both sides in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from March 23 to 25, as part of the agreements reached between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
