Moscow, March 17 (QNA) – The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that its air defense systems destroyed 72 Ukrainian drones over several Russian provinces.
In a statement, the Ministry said that 36 drones were destroyed over Kursk Oblast, 13 over Astrakhan Oblast, seven over Oryol Oblast, four over Volgograd Oblast, three over each of Bryansk Oblast, Rostov Oblast, and the Republic of Kalmykia, two over Krasnodar Krai, and one over Tula Oblast.
Russia and Ukraine exchange daily announcements of downing drones targeting each other’s territories, as part of the ongoing conflict between them that began in Feb. 2022.
