MOSCOW, Nov. 25– Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Tuesday acknowledged ongoing discussions between Ukrainian and American representatives based on a draft plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump. He added that Russia will also participate in talks regarding the U.S. proposal aimed at settling the conflict.
Peskov described Trump’s plan as a “substantive basis” for potential negotiations on the Ukraine crisis, emphasizing that Russia is committed to achieving its objectives through political and diplomatic channels.
“We consistently adhere to this position and remain fully open to negotiations on Ukraine,” he said, highlighting Moscow’s interest in constructive dialogue.
While the plan has not yet been discussed with Russia in a substantive manner, Peskov stressed that any lasting agreement should incorporate broader security arrangements in Europe to ensure stability and regional cooperation.
The remarks indicate a cautious but clear willingness by Russia to engage in future diplomatic efforts on the Ukraine issue.
