Kiev, April 6 – Russia launched a fresh air attack on Ukraine’s capital early Sunday morning, resulting in multiple explosions. These blasts caused fires in the Darnytskyi and Obolon districts, prompting emergency response teams to rush to the affected areas. The Ukrainian military’s air defense systems were activated to defend the city as explosions echoed across the capital.
Mayor Vitali Klitschko, in a statement on Telegram, confirmed the ongoing missile attack, urging citizens to take shelter immediately. “The missile attack on Kiev is ongoing,” he said. Ukrainian authorities are actively assessing the damage and providing aid to those affected by the strikes. As air defense operations continue, the situation remains tense with efforts to secure the city from further damage.
