Riyadh, October 14 (QNA) – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed its hope that the results of the Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit, hosted by Egypt on Monday, would contribute to strengthening efforts to establish security and stability in the Middle East, alleviate the humanitarian suffering of the Palestinian people, achieve a full Israeli withdrawal, and initiate practical steps to achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
This came during a meeting of the Saudi Cabinet on Tuesday, chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Cabinet stressed the need for an immediate cessation of the war in Sudan, the preservation of its unity and institutions, sparing it and its people further suffering and destruction, and the implementation of the Jeddah Declaration signed on May 11, 2023.
