Riyadh, October 21 (QNA) – Saudi Arabia on Tuesday reaffirmed its support for the ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and Afghanistan, following negotiations held in the State of Qatar, and establishing mechanisms to deepen enduring peace and stability between the two countries.
This came during a session of the Saudi Council of Ministers chaired by HH Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The council underscored Saudi Arabia’s support for regional and global efforts aimed at achieving security and peace worldwide.
A round of negotiations between Pakistan and Afghanistan was convened in Doha, brokered by Qatar and Turkiye, with both sides agreeing to an immediate ceasefire and establishing mechanisms to consolidate lasting peace and stability between the two countries.
