Doha: Shan-e-Lahore Restaurant organized a special Iftar dinner to honor distinguished guests from the Pakistan Embassy, along with prominent businessmen, bankers, media professionals, and community leaders.
Anwar Ali Rana, Chairman of Shoni Dharti, led the evening’s proceedings, ensuring a warm and engaging atmosphere. Syed Mustafa Rabbani, Deputy Head of Mission at the Pakistan Embassy, expressed his gratitude to Iqbal Butt for the invitation, acknowledging that his visit to the restaurant was long overdue and that he was pleased to be part of the gathering.
Riyaz Bakily, CEO of The TNG School, highlighted the evolution of Pakistani restaurants in Qatar, noting that over 106 Pakistani eateries now successfully serve both the local and expatriate communities. He recalled that five decades ago, only three to four Pakistani restaurants existed in the region.
Osama Idrees, Counsellor-Community Welfare Attaché-1, shared his delight in reconnecting with community members and extended his thanks to Iqbal Butt for the warm hospitality.
In his closing remarks, Iqbal Butt, owner of Shan-e-Lahore Restaurant, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to all attendees, including the officials of the Pakistan Embassy and esteemed community members, for gracing the occasion and making it memorable.
