Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced that it has begun accepting applications for new domestic gas connections. According to details shared on the company’s website, priority will be given to applicants who had deposited the fast-track fee or demand notice before the suspension of new connections. Applicants can now obtain gas connections by signing an RLNG (Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas) agreement and paying the required security charges.SNGPL stated that those who had already applied for system gas connections may also submit new RLNG-based applications, either under the general category or through the fast-track option.The fee for fast-track applications has been set at Rs25,000. Security charges for new RLNG-based domestic connections are Rs20,000, which are refundable. Service line charges have been set at Rs1,500 for houses up to 10 marla and Rs3,000 for houses above 10 marla. The company clarified that there will be no fee for submitting the application. SNGPL further stated that the tariff for RLNG-based connections will be approximately 70 percent higher compared to the rates of conventional system gas supplied to households.
The company said that applications will be processed according to merit, and only those fulfilling the requirements will be granted new connections.
