Al Khor, Qatar – In a vibrant display of national pride and cultural heritage, the Sohni Dharti Forum, under the dynamic leadership of Chairman Rana Anwar Ali, successfully represented Pakistan at the prestigious Al Khor Carnival 2026. This annual event, a highlight of the community calendar, brought together more than 80 nationalities from around the world to showcase their unique cultures, traditions, and spirit.
Hailing from the soil of Multan, Pakistan, Rana Anwar Ali – a renowned journalist, poet, anchor, and dedicated community leader – has long been a beacon of patriotism among Pakistanis in Qatar. Through Sohni Dharti, he actively promotes Pakistani culture, traditions, and sports while instilling a deep sense of love for the homeland in the younger generation.
The carnival saw enthusiastic participation from the Pakistani community, with a grand parade led by key Sohni Dharti office bearers, including President Umar Khayam, Vice President Gulzar Hussain, General Secretary Mohsin Ali, Sports Secretary Zafar Chandio, Ghulam Farid, and Umar Irshad. A large number of community members joined the procession, proudly displaying Pakistan’s green and white flags, traditional attire, and cultural performances.
Behind the scenes, coordinators Masood and Alvi played a vital role in ensuring smooth execution and seamless participation.
The event not only highlighted Pakistan’s rich heritage but also strengthened bonds of unity and brotherhood within the expatriate community.
