Somaliland recognition foreshadows newest international gangsterism: Alvi

MIRPUR (AJK): Dec  29: Chairman Peace Media Mr Hameed Shaheen Alvi says the act of recognition of Somalia’s integral part Somaliland by Israel as independent state constitutes dangerous model of gangsterism that any global influence vending state could declare any part of any state as independent entity in today’s lawless internationalism.

Talking to this Correspondent here on Monday the Chairman said that Somalia, internationally recognized state, is member of UN, African Union, Arab League, OIC playing peace and economic development role standing among international community of 193 UN members states.

“It is most perilous that in hollow hours suddenly Israel gets up and announces recognition of Somaliland, part of Somalia state, as an independent country. This precedent can be applied by any powerful country to demarcate integral part of any state as an independent entity. The UN should take suo motto notice of this newest trend of international gangsterism and initiate legal action against this gross violation of international law”.

Chairman Alvi welcomed government of Pakistan’s timely announcement condemning the recognition of Somaliland by Israel. Answering a question Mr Alvi explained that apparently Israel took this crude step in order to gain geographic interests via the Red Sea that becomes an immediate danger for Saudi Arabia. “Whatever may be the intentions recognition itself of a part of an international state militates against UN and other international laws that protect sovereignties of the lawful independent states”, he added.
