MIRPUR ( AJK): January 12: Azad Kashmir Minister for Health and Population Development Syed Bazil Naqvi said that the State government of Azad Jammu Kashmir was committed to deliver quality medical facilities to the people close to their doorsteps step across Azad Jammu Kashmir.

Uplift of the state health facilities on latest grounds like Mirpur-AJK Divisional Headquarters Teaching Hospital on more active and modern lines was the ample proof of this fact, he added during visit to the Divisional Headquarters Teaching Hospital Mirpur on Sunday, our Special Jammu Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao reports from Mirpur on Sunday.

The minister directed the District Health authorities that the ongoing projects should be completed within the stipulated time fram so that better facilities can be provided to the patients.

On this occasion, Acting Medical Superintendent Dr. Maria Zulfiqar, DHO Dr. Fida Hussain Raja,
Principal Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Medical College Prof. Dr. Faisal Bashir, Dr. Saeed Alam, Vice Principal Prof. Dr. Tariq Masood, Additional Medical Superintendent Dr. Owais Zahid, President Pakistan Medical Association Dr. Ijaz Ahmed Raja and other senior doctors and faculty members received the Minister for Health.

During the visit, the Minister of Public Health was given a detailed briefing by the acting Medical Superintendent of the Hospital Dr. Maria Zulfiqar through multimedia, who also head that Kashmir Institute of Cardiology regarding the overall performance of the hospital, available facilities and future plans.

Later, Syed Bazal Naqvi inspected the ongoing construction work in the hospital, Phase II, CCTV Control Room and Accident and Emergency Department.

Expressing satisfaction over the ongoing development works and management, the minister appreciated the efforts of the concerned administration and medical staff.

Senior medicis including Medical Specialist Dr. Jahangir Anjum, Dr. Alia Imtiaz, Dr. Adnan Marghoob, Deputy Drug Controller Dr. Zaheer Iqbal, Jamila Rajab and others were also present on this occasion.
