MIRPUR ( AJK): Aug. 22: Several existing and ex students of various faculties of the state-run Mirpur University of Science &Technology (MUST), Mirpur-AJK were awarded certificates in acknowledgement of outstanding professional accomplishments in their respective fields of studies, by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Shehbaz Sharif, in the National Youth Convention hosted in the federal metropolis on Wednesday.

Abdul Ahad Salim s/o Raja Ijaz Salim, ex student of the faculty of Mechanical Engineering in the MUST and currently the student of Post graduation studies in Queen Mary university of London, is amongst those highly talented students, bestowed upon the high achiever award in recognition of his remarkable achievement/ input titled ‘Story of Pakistan and The Role of Youth’, in the grand national congregation attended by thousands of youth from across the country including Azad Jammu Kashmir.

Engr. Ahad is the son of Raja Ijaz Salim, renowned author of three books on ‘social issues, human life and their solution’ and Retired Assistant Registrar MUST, nephew of Raja Irfan Salim, (Tamgha e Imtiaz) SSP Azad Jammu Kashmir police and Major (Retd) Furqan Salim, ex ADC, COAS of Pakistan.

Eng. Abdul Ahed Salim is amongst 04 of the talented students of the Mechanical Engineering Department MUST, picked for the grant of the distinguished High Achiever Awards including laptop besides certificates.

It may be added that Dr Khurram Pervez Ex Chairman Mechanical Engineering Deptt, MUST supervised the project which was formally approved by the PEC (Pakistan Engineering Council).

Local civil society while lauding the delivery of quality Higher professional and general education in various disciplines of science and technology, harmonious to the need of the modern age, by the world-class Mirpur University of Science and Technology, felicitated the Vice Chancellor Brig (Retd) Dr.Younis Javed, Ex Chairman Mechanical Engineering Deptt, MUST Dr. Khurram Pervez and the sitting Dean and Chairmen of all the concerned Faculties of Science and Technology of the varsity including Electrical, Civil and Computer Systems Engineering for producing quality future architects of the nation – who, they hoped, would raise the name of the motherland- Pakistan the world over through their high intelect and pen through the best of their high Professional skills and abilities at present and in the future.
