TASHKENT, January 15 (Dunyo IA) – President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during his visit to Abu Dhabi, held a meeting with UAE Minister of Artificial Intelligence Omar bin Sultan Al Olama. The meeting included executives from top tech companies such as Presight, AIQ, and Khazna, along with Eric Xing, President of Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, the world’s first AI-focused university.
The discussions centered on advancing strategic partnerships to promote cutting-edge technologies in various sectors. Key agreements included the development of generative artificial intelligence, with a focus on big language models for the energy sector, and the establishment of a large data processing center in Tashkent.
President Mirziyoyev also emphasized strengthening collaboration with Mohamed bin Zayed University. He proposed a student training program and the adoption of a “road map” to nurture highly skilled professionals in AI.
Additional initiatives involve setting up joint research laboratories, creating technological clusters, and implementing innovative solutions for contactless payment systems. These efforts aim to position Uzbekistan as a regional leader in technological innovation and big data analytics.
The partnership reflects Uzbekistan’s commitment to integrating advanced AI and big data technologies to drive economic growth and improve efficiency in key industries, further solidifying ties with the UAE.
