Washington, D.C. – U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday issued a pointed warning to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stating that the U.S. knows his exact location but has chosen not to act“for now.”
In a strongly worded social media post, Trump said, “We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there we are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin.” He concluded the message with a stark demand: “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!”
The statement comes amid heightened tensions in the region following intensified hostilities between Iran and Israel. Last Friday, Israel launched coordinated airstrikes targeting multiple Iranian military and nuclear sites. In retaliation, Iran fired a series of missile attacks that Israeli authorities say have killed at least 24 people and injured hundreds. Iran, in turn, reports over 224 casualties and more than 1,000 injuries from Israeli strikes.
Further raising concerns, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed the deployment of the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group to the CENTCOM region. According to Pentagon sources, the move is intended to reinforce America’s defensive posture and protect its personnel in the region.
Trump also claimed in a separate post that the United States has “complete and total control” of Iranian airspace, though no official confirmation was provided.
The developments mark a sharp escalation in U.S.-Iran tensions, fueling fears of a wider conflict in the Middle East.
