A crucial match was played on Thursday between Iraq and Indonesia for 3rd & 4th position in the AFC U23 championship 2024 Qatar.
The match was an eliminator because the winner was going to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
A good display of football was witnessed at Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium as both teams played the attacking soccer.
Iraq beat Indonesia 2-1. Indonesia after taking the lead in the 19th minute couldn’t maintain it and the Equalizer was scored in the 27th minute.
The deciding goal was scored in the extra time by Jasim in 96th minute.

The final match on Friday between Uzbekistan and Japan at Jasim Bin Hamad Stadium promises to be a thrilling encounter, with both teams vying to make history as the first two-time winners of the AFC U23 Championship.
