Ankara, December 29 (QNA) – Three Turkish police personnel were killed and eight others were wounded on Monday during a security operation against a group of ISIS elements in Yalova Province in northwest Turkiye.
Addressing a press conference to announce the details of the operation, Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said that six ISIS elements were killed during the operation.
The security operation started at dawn today, with clashes erupting between the police and ISIS elements, Yerlikaya clarified, before adding that all these elements were holding Turkish nationality.
