The Next Generation (TNG) School is celebrating an extraordinary milestone as its students earned Top in the World and Top in Qatar distinctions in the June 2025 Cambridge International Examinations — a true testament to their hard work, curiosity, and academic excellence.
The achievers who brought this honour to TNG are:
• Areeba Naeem – Top in the World – Islamiyat (IGCSE™)
• Hasaan Junaid Kasmani – High Achievement – Physics (A Level)
• Nour Khalid Mohammed Saeed – Top in Qatar – Information & Communication Technology (IGCSE™)
• Sarah Ahmad – Top in Qatar – Mathematics (Without Coursework) (IGCSE™)
• Soraiya Omer – Top in Qatar – First Language English (Oral Endorsement)
• Soraiya Omer – Top in Qatar – Mathematics (Without Coursework) (IGCSE™)
• Zaina Adnan – Top in Qatar – Global Perspectives (IGCSE™)
• Ali Salman – Top in Qatar – Enterprise (IGCSE™)
These exceptional results reflect TNG’s mission to nurture holistic learners who combine intellectual depth with important soft skills. Leading the way, Areeba Naeem became the second TNG student ever to achieve Top in the World in Islamiyat, exemplifying the school’s focus on critical thinking rooted in Islamic values. Soraiya Omer’s rare double distinction — topping Qatar in both Mathematics and English — highlights TNG’s emphasis on multidisciplinary excellence and balanced learning.
What makes these achievers stand out even more is their excellence beyond the classroom. Sarah Ahmad and Soraiya Omer were part of the team that became Global Winners in the 2024 Your World Competition by the British Council. Zaina Adnan and Nour Khalid have made their mark in debates and Model United Nations, while Areeba Naeem led her campus newsletter as Editor-in-Chief and showcased her athletic talent in cricket. Hasaan Junaid Kasmani earned recognition in National Scientific Research and STEM Olympiads, while Ali Salman distinguished himself through his passion for sports and his reflective, resilient nature.
Behind these remarkable results stand TNG’s dedicated educators — Ms. Riffat Ishfaq, Mr. Mian Ahsan Ali, Ms. Suatha Sijal, Ms. Khadija Abid, Ms. Rahila Mahaboob, Ms. Nadiya Nissar, Ms. Helen Rose, Mr. Muqtada Ibrahim, and Ms. Mary Prisca — whose unwavering support and guidance helped students turn potential into performance.
A special mention goes to Ms. Riffat Ishfaq, whose students have achieved Top in Qatar four times and Top in the World twice in IGCSE Islamiyat in past ten years. Her strength lies in identifying each student’s unique learning style and providing quality individualized support, while maintaining close collaboration with parents. This results in increase in ability level of each student over the course of Ms. Riffat’s mentorship.
Meanwhile, Ms. Suatha Sijal, the Global Perspectives educator, is deeply committed to developing higher-order thinking and analytical skills in her students. She encourages learners to critically evaluate their own coursework, strengthening their ability to think independently and from an academic lens. Under her mentorship, TNG students have achieved Top in Qatar in Global Perspectives for the second consecutive year — with their responses even cited in Cambridge Examiners’ Reports, a rare and prestigious recognition.
TNG’s teachers’ collective expertise, collaboration, and student-centered approach have empowered learners to perform at international standards. Together, these accomplishments affirm TNG’s philosophy that true excellence lies where knowledge meets skill — empowering students not only to excel in examinations but to lead with purpose, compassion, and confidence in the wider world.
