DUSHANBE, January 7 (Dunyo IA) – The Trade House of Uzbekistan was inaugurated today in Tajikistan’s capital, established by the “Uzsanoatqurilishmateriallari” Association, according to a Dunyo IA correspondent.
The opening ceremony was attended by Bakhtiyor Bobokulov, Chairman of the Association, along with diplomats from the Uzbek Embassy, business representatives from both nations, and media personnel.
Participants were given a tour of the trading platform, showcasing an exhibition of products, prices, and Uzbekistan’s export potential in the construction materials sector. The event also featured B2B meetings to enhance trade partnerships between the two countries.
Tajikistan is a key market for Uzbekistan’s construction materials, which have seen rising demand under the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand. In 2024, Uzbekistan exported $115 million worth of construction materials to Tajikistan, including $34 million in metal products, $13 million in dry construction mixtures and cement, $12 million in ceramics, $23 million in pipes and plastic products, $11 million in particleboard and MDF, and $7 million in glassware.
Negotiations are ongoing to expand the supply of aerated concrete blocks, heat-insulating slabs, natural stones, and wallpaper to Tajikistan.
Notably, “Uzsanoatqurilishmateriallari” has already established Trade Houses in Baku, Azerbaijan, and Kabul, Afghanistan, to further promote Uzbekistan’s construction exports.
