Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized Turkey’s growing significance in global affairs amid rising geopolitical tensions and the ongoing trade war. Speaking at the AK Party’s Group Meeting in Ankara, Erdogan stated, “Global actors, sometimes out of necessity, acknowledge that a formula excluding Turkey cannot succeed, and if attempted, it will not endure.”
Erdogan warned that the escalating trade war, fueled by tariffs, would have far-reaching global consequences. “The impact of this trade war will be widespread. It’s not an exaggeration to say that a storm is coming that will affect everyone,” he remarked, highlighting the potential economic fallout.
Acknowledging Turkey’s increasing influence, Erdogan emphasized, “Turkey has evolved from being a mere participant in global affairs to a key player shaping its own scenarios.” His comments reflect the country’s growing importance as a diplomatic and economic actor on the world stage.
On Turkey’s economic outlook, Erdogan expressed confidence in the nation’s resilience. “Turkey is among the countries facing low tariffs, and we believe this will help us navigate the current challenges more easily than many other nations,” he said.
Reassuring Turkey’s business community, Erdogan pledged the government’s support, emphasizing that the country’s strategic position will enable it to weather global uncertainties more effectively.
As tensions rise across international markets and trade negotiations, Erdogan’s remarks underline Turkey’s role as a crucial player in shaping both regional and global dynamics.
