Turkish President: Turkiye monitoring Israel’s attacks on Iran

Ankara, June 18 (QNA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday said that his country is vigilant and monitoring Israel’s attacks on Iran closely and that all of Turkiye’s institutions are on alert over the potential effects of these attacks.
Speaking at the Justice and Development (AK) Party Parliamentary Group Meeting, Erdogan stressed that Turkiye is getting ready forآ every possible negative development and scenario with regards to this escalation.
The Turkish President pointed out that his country is now a nation with an integrated defense infrastructure, protecting its skies with domestically developed air defense systems, affirming its determined and persistent pursuit of full independence in defense industries.
Erdogan said that Turkiye has no ambition or desire other than achieving peace and stability in the region, only seeking cooperation, stability, and security in the Middle East.
The Turkish President said that his country’s efforts for peace are sincere, adding however, that Turkiye will not hesitate to respond appropriately to any attack targeting it.
He stated that Ankara will continue its diplomatic efforts and spare no effort to prevent a catastrophe that could affect everyone as a result of the Israeli attacks, noting that Turkiye’s struggle to stop the Israeli aggression and its efforts to bring peace to the region will continue in the coming period.
