President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that Türkiye will focus on ensuring security beyond its southern borders from 2025, particularly addressing terrorism threats. Speaking at the AK Party’s 8th Ordinary Provincial Congress in Balikesir, Erdogan emphasized Türkiye’s commitment to eliminating threats from neighboring regions.
Erdogan outlined his vision for Türkiye’s future, stating that the country would work towards the goals of the “Century of Türkiye,” with advancements in defense, technology, energy, and economic self-sufficiency. He also highlighted Türkiye’s efforts to bring an end to the war in the north and reduce dependence on foreign resources.
Discussing the situation in Syria, Erdogan noted Türkiye’s unwavering support for the Syrian people and its victory in helping end the humanitarian crisis. He celebrated Türkiye’s role in hosting 3.6 million Syrian refugees and securing an additional 4 million people beyond its borders. Erdogan declared that Türkiye had passed the test of humanity with “flying colors,” standing firm in its mission to help the oppressed and uphold brotherhood.
