ABU DHABI, Sept. 7, 2025 — The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Jordan on Sunday renewed their firm and united stance in supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, stressing rejection of any Israeli actions undermining Palestinian land, sovereignty, or regional stability.
In a meeting held in Abu Dhabi, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Jordan’s King Abdullah II underlined the urgent need for intensified international efforts to achieve a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace in the Middle East, anchored in the two-state solution. Both leaders voiced strong opposition to Israeli settlement expansion, annexation plans in the West Bank, or attempts to displace Palestinians.
The discussions also touched on threats posed by certain Israeli statements and policies to regional security and the sovereignty of neighboring states. The leaders reiterated that stability in the region requires respect for international law and a serious revival of peace negotiations.
Beyond regional issues, the meeting highlighted the deep-rooted fraternal ties between the UAE and Jordan, with emphasis on strengthening cooperation, coordination, and joint action in political, economic, and humanitarian fields.
King Abdullah arrived in the UAE on a working visit, accompanied by Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, Prime Minister Jafar Hassan, Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, and senior officials.
