KIEV, Nov. 23 — Delegations from Ukraine and the United States are scheduled to hold consultations in Switzerland in the coming days to discuss possible parameters of a future peace agreement with Russia, Rustem Umerov, Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, announced on Saturday.
“This is another stage of the dialogue that has been ongoing in recent days and is primarily aimed at aligning our vision for the next steps,” Umerov wrote on Facebook. He emphasized that Ukraine is approaching the peace process with a clear understanding of its national interests.
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree establishing a delegation to engage in talks with the United States, other international partners, and Russia on a potential peace deal to resolve the ongoing Ukraine crisis. The delegation will be led by Andriy Yermak, Head of the Presidential Office, and is tasked with representing Ukraine’s priorities in all negotiations.
The upcoming discussions in Switzerland mark a significant development in international efforts to facilitate dialogue and seek a structured path toward conflict resolution in Ukraine. Both sides aim to explore avenues for sustainable peace while safeguarding Ukraine’s sovereignty and security.
