Xi made the remarks while participating in a voluntary tree-planting activity in Changping District, Beijing, alongside other Party and state leaders including Li Qiang, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, and Li Xi. During the event, Xi planted saplings and spoke with children and officials, emphasizing the importance of fostering a love for learning, labor, and nature from an early age.

He highlighted China’s sustained growth in forest area and stock volume, alongside reductions in desertified and sandy lands, noting that the country leads the world in greening efforts.
