BEIJING, Feb. 11 (Xinhua) – Chinese President and CPC Central Committee General Secretary Xi Jinping on Wednesday extended Spring Festival greetings to members of non-CPC political parties, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), personages without party affiliation, and other united front members.
Xi conveyed his greetings while attending the annual gathering with non-CPC personages at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. He described 2025 as an extraordinary year, during which the CPC Central Committee led the Party and Chinese people to overcome challenges and achieve key economic and social development goals despite complex domestic and international conditions.
He acknowledged that these accomplishments were made possible through strong Party leadership and the joint efforts of all Chinese people, including non-CPC political parties, the ACFIC, and independent personages.
Looking ahead to 2026, the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan period, Xi urged non-CPC parties and affiliated groups to actively fulfill their roles, support the implementation of the CPC Central Committee’s policies, and contribute to national development. He emphasized the importance of unity, political guidance, and strengthening organizational capacities to participate effectively in governance under socialism with Chinese characteristics.
Xi also stressed the need for members to improve conduct, uphold discipline, and consolidate a healthy political environment.
The gathering was attended by senior officials, including Wang Huning, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference; Cai Qi, director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee; and Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang, all members of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau.
