It has been more than two years since cybercrime in Lahore was denied justice. The last time, the investigation inspector had said that Zafar Sahib, there are so many high-profile cases that the bureaucracy has never asked or pressured about the case of an ordinary Pakistani like you. Hearing this increased my mental anguish and anxiety. Due to the money lost in cybercrime, I reached home in a car, half dead under the burden of debt, when I suddenly suffered a severe heart attack. It even became difficult for me to breathe. The doctor was called, and he gave me an injection as soon as he arrived. I was sitting on the sofa but could not take a single step to go to bed.
When I regained consciousness, I saw that Maulvi Sahib had arrived for the last rites and the funeral prayer. I saw the faces of my family, whose faces were covered with dark clouds of grief and sorrow. I was convinced that my days of life were over. Later, I came to know that the doctor had already prepared my wife to face the terrible reality that I would die within thirty minutes. My heart had become so weak that I could not utter a single word, nor could I move many parts of my body.
I have never been a very pious, pious, or religious person, but I have definitely learned, understood, accepted, and know that God should never argue or debate matters. So I closed my eyes and said to myself, “Creator, only your will is being fulfilled. If this is how it is to be, then I acknowledge my submission and satisfaction to your command and pleasure.” As I focused on these divine thoughts and personal obedience, I felt a special peace permeate my entire being, which even took my soul under its protection. All my fear and anxiety melted away into the air outside. I asked myself, what could be worse than this? I realized that if there was anything worse than this, it would be the possible return of a nervous tension with severe pain. Then the entire journey of life would come to an end. I would meet the true Creator. The end of all the sufferings of this world and the beginning of all the comforts of the hereafter had begun.
I lay on the same couch and waited for a long time, but the overwhelming pain did not return. Then I asked myself, if I did not die this time, how would I arrange to live the rest of my life? I firmly resolved that I would do everything possible to maintain my physical and mental health. I would not sink my ship with nervous conflicts and worries, but rather I would gain and protect the strength that was being lost through indifference. Many years have passed since this incident, and I have gained strength to such an extent that even the doctors themselves are surprised to examine the strong health of my heart vessels. I have stopped worrying and worrying, which has given me a new enthusiasm for life. To tell you the truth, if I had not faced the worst, my expected death, and then tried to reform myself, I am sure that I would have died of fear and anxiety.
