MIRPUR (AJK): July 20 ( APP): A total of 3005 out of 5000 registered Electoral staa members belonging to various government departments exercised their right to vote during the special polling process held in Mirpur district.
According to District Returning Officer (DRO) Jahangir Ahmed Jarral polling for government employees assigned election duties in the upcoming Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections was completed successfully in Mirpur district ahead of the general polling scheduled for July 27.
The constituency-wise turnout included 715 votes in LA-1, 682 votes in LA-2, 778 votes in LA-3, and 830 votes in LA-4.
The DRO stated that the ballots cast by election-duty staff will remain sealed and will be counted on July 27 along with other official ballots after the close of general polling.
Election authorities said the polling process was completed in a peaceful atmosphere, with all arrangements carried out in accordance with the prescribed election procedures and regulations.
