MIRPUR ( AJK): July 19: Veteran AJK business community leader and Ex Sr. Vice President AJK Chamber of Commerce & Industry Raja Khalid Mahmood Khan while terming 19th July as a defining moment in the Kashmir’s history has said that it was on this historic date when Kashmiri leadership unanimously had decided to link their future with yet to born state of Pakistan

Addressing a special ceremony hosted by his faction of Markazi Anjuman e Tajraan at its auditorium here on Friday to mark the 77th Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan day, Khalid, besides other speakers including ex President AJK CCI Sohail Shujah Mujahid and other business community leaders – Nawaz Rattayal, Asif Dar and others highlighted the significance of the day and said that the resolution adopted a month before the creation of Pakistan demonstrated Kashmiris’ unconditional deep-rooted love and affection for Pakistan.

Referring to partition plan the Kasmiri business community elders said that the state of Jammu and Kashmir was geographically, historically and culturally and ethnically part of Pakistan but India’s policy of deceit and deception, expansionism and perpetual denial to implement the UN resolutions on Kashmir has pushed the region into a quagmire of uncertainty.

Lauding the unprecedented sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiri nation the speakers said that in IIOJK, innocent Kashmiris have witnessed relentless killings, widespread death and destruction at the hands of Indian occupation forces. During the decades’ long struggle for right to self-determination, he stated that hundreds of thousands of people have been severely tortured and rendered disabled in the occupied state where the human rights violations at the hands of Indian occupational forces have become order of the day, he underlined

Reiterating Kashmiris’ pledge to take the ongoing struggle to its logical conclusion speakers said that day was not far when Kashmiris will achieve their cherished goal of freedom from Indian clutches and materialise the dream of entire Jammu and Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan into reality under the sporit of the historic Kashmir’s Accession to Pakistan Resolution passed this day in 1947, they addrd.
