MIRPUR (AJK): July 29: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Election Commission has officially announced results of all 13 constituencies of Mirpur Division in the AJK Legislative Assembly elections held on July 27.
The Election Commission issued the official notification of successful candidates from Mirpur, Kotli and Bhimber districts on Wednesday after receiving verified election results from the division.
According to the AJK Election Commission spokesperson, the notifications were issued based on officially received results and completion of required formalities.
The successful candidates include Azhar Sadiq from LA-1 Mirpur-I, Chaudhry Qasim Majeed from LA-2 Mirpur-II, Chaudhry Yasir Sultan from LA-3 Mirpur-III, Rukhsar Ahmed from LA-4 Mirpur-IV, Waqar Ahmed Noor from LA-5 Bhimber-I, Muhammad Razzaq Chaudhry from LA-6 Bhimber-II, Tariq Farooq from LA-7 Bhimber-III, Zafar Iqbal Malik from LA-8 Kotli-I, Umair Naeem from LA-9 Kotli-II, Muhammad Yaseen Chaudhry from LA-10 Kotli-III, Muhammad Asif from LA-11 Kotli-IV, Muhammad Riyasat Khan from LA-12 Kotli-V and Ayaz Ahmed from LA-13 Kotli-VI.
The spokesperson said the Election Commission would continue issuing notifications for successful candidates from other divisions after receiving official results and completing legal requirements for the second and third phases of elections.
The next phases will be held on August 2 in Muzaffarabad Division and Pakistan-based Jammu Kashmir refugee constituencies, followed by Poonch-Rawalakot Division on August 10.
