MIRPUR (AJK): August 9 : Preparations for the scheduled August 10 3rd phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections have been completed, with election material delivered to the relevant constituencies in Bagh and Haveli districts, it was officially said.

Chief Election Commissioner Ghulam Mustafa said that around 460,000 registered voters would be eligible to cast their ballots in four constituencies during the third phase of the elections.

In a video message issued on Sunday, he said comprehensive security arrangements had been finalised to ensure peace and order during polling, while security personnel had been deployed at the designated polling stations.

The chief election commissioner said all necessary measures have been taken to ensure that the electoral process remained transparent and peaceful.

He urged voters to exercise their right to vote without fear and play their role in the process of government formation.

Ghulam Mustafa said a high voter turnout would, indeed, contribute significantly to strengthening the democratic process in Azad Jammu Kashmir.
