Beijing, September 02 (QNA) – China, Russia and Mongolia will hold their second joint border defense exercise in early September, China’s Ministry of National Defense said.
Code-named “Border Defense Cooperation 2026,” the exercise will focus on preventing and combating reconnaissance and sabotage activities in border areas, according to a ministry statement.
The exercise will include joint planning, searches, coordinated strikes and arrests, as well as the joint handover of suspects, the ministry said.
The exercise aims to further strengthen strategic mutual trust among the three countries, deepen border defense cooperation and jointly safeguard security and stability in border areas.
Border defense forces from the three countries held their first joint exercise of this kind in September 2025.
