BEIJING, July 20: Chinese Premier Li Qiang and Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul held talks in Beijing on Monday, reaffirming their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation and deepening the China Thailand community with a shared future.
Premier Li said China is ready to strengthen its longstanding friendship with Thailand by enhancing political mutual trust, expanding strategic cooperation, and promoting mutually beneficial partnerships across a wide range of sectors. He called for closer alignment of development strategies, high quality Belt and Road cooperation, stronger trade ties, and greater collaboration in emerging industries to promote shared prosperity.
Li also expressed hope that Thailand would continue providing a favorable business environment for Chinese enterprises while strengthening cooperation in law enforcement and security.
Prime Minister Anutin, on his first official visit to China, reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment to the One China policy and pledged to maintain close high level exchanges. He said Thailand would intensify efforts to combat cross border crime and ensure a safe environment for Chinese tourists and businesses.
Following the talks, the two leaders witnessed the signing of cooperation agreements covering trade, science and technology, artificial intelligence, education, aerospace, and media, further strengthening the comprehensive partnership between the two countries.
