Doha, August 11 (QNA): The third Cyber Security Youth Camp provided participants with a wide range of practical, educational and competitive activities designed to strengthen their technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
The program featured dialogue sessions with seven leading experts in cybersecurity and education, who shared their professional experience and offered guidance on digital protection, emerging cyber risks and opportunities in the sector.
Students also took part in 15 recreational and interactive activities aimed at strengthening teamwork, encouraging collaboration and creating a safe and inspiring learning environment throughout the camp.
The program included six challenges through the Consultation and Cybersecurity Corner, where participants were encouraged to apply their knowledge to practical situations. A Capture The Flag (CTF) competition also gave students an opportunity to test their cybersecurity skills in a competitive environment, sharpen their ability to work under pressure and develop creative approaches to solving technical problems.
The camp placed particular emphasis on practical learning, enabling students to move beyond theoretical knowledge and apply cybersecurity concepts to realistic challenges.
Participants concluded the program by developing 80 graduation projects addressing real-world cybersecurity challenges. The projects reflected the skills and knowledge gained during the intensive training and demonstrated the students’ ability to develop innovative solutions.
The NCSA said the camp forms part of its broader efforts to develop national capabilities in cybersecurity and promote digital awareness among young people. The initiative also supports Qatar’s efforts to strengthen digital inclusion and prepare a generation capable of responding to the rapidly changing cybersecurity landscape.
The participation of students from outside Qatar through remote sessions further expanded the camp’s educational reach and strengthened opportunities for knowledge exchange.
The collaboration between the NCSA, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Ministry of Sports and Youth, educational institutions, industry partners and cybersecurity experts contributed to providing participants with exposure to both academic and professional perspectives.
Through its combination of intensive training, expert discussions, field visits, competitions and project development, the camp offered young participants a comprehensive introduction to cybersecurity and its growing importance in modern digital society.
The closing ceremony marked the culmination of an intensive 20-day program aimed at inspiring young people to pursue cybersecurity-related skills and careers while contributing to a safer and more digitally resilient society.
