Iran has confirmed receiving a response from the United States to its latest peace proposal, according to state-linked media reports.
A spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry said the reply was delivered through Pakistan and is currently under review, as reported by Tasnim News Agency. US officials have not formally confirmed issuing a response.
Iran’s proposal reportedly includes calls for the withdrawal of US forces from areas near its borders, an end to naval restrictions affecting Iranian ports, and a halt to ongoing hostilities in the region. The plan also outlines a framework for reaching an agreement within 30 days.
US President Donald Trump said he would review the proposal but expressed doubt about its acceptability, noting that further evaluation was required before any decision.
Officials in Tehran have emphasized the importance of prioritizing a lasting resolution over temporary ceasefire arrangements. Meanwhile, discussions appear to be ongoing, with both sides weighing diplomatic options.
The development highlights continued efforts to ease tensions, though uncertainty remains over the outcome of negotiations and the potential for a broader agreement.
