DOHA: The Katara Cultural Village Foundation will launch its Katara Summer Camps 2026 from July 5 to July 29, offering 11 specialized programmes designed to develop the talents and skills of children and young people during the summer break.
The camps will run from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm, Sunday to Wednesday each week, providing participants with an engaging mix of culture, arts, science and creative learning in an interactive educational environment.
The programme caters to a wide range of interests and includes a Heritage and Traditional Crafts Camp for girls, the Al Thuraya Summer Camp for boys and girls at the Al Thuraya Planetarium, a Young Actor Camp, and a Literature Camp featuring five workshops focused on Arabic language, public speaking, creative writing, storytelling, poetry and media presentation.
Other activities include camps in photography, ceramics, visual arts, smart skills and fitness, religious education, Qatari heritage and beauty, and silent comedy, ensuring children have opportunities to explore both artistic and practical talents.
Katara said the summer programme is designed to combine learning with hands-on experience while encouraging creativity, critical thinking, communication and teamwork. The camps also aim to strengthen participants’ appreciation of heritage, culture, arts and science through enjoyable and enriching activities led by experienced specialists.
The initiative reflects Katara’s ongoing commitment to nurturing young talent, building self-confidence among participants and helping children make productive use of their summer holidays in line with its mission of promoting culture, creativity and innovation.
Katara has invited parents to register their children in camps that match their interests and abilities so they can benefit from a unique educational and cultural experience throughout the summer vacation.
