DOHA: The General Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, has opened the “Environment and Life” exhibition in collaboration with Seashore Group, showcasing more than 30 artworks that celebrate nature and promote sustainability through creative expressions.
The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Saif Saad Al Dosari, Deputy General Manager of Katara and Director of the Human Resources Department, along with artists, cultural figures and environmental enthusiasts.
The exhibition brings together visual art and recycling in an awareness-driven artistic experience featuring works by Qatari artists Jawaher Al Attiyah and Nora Radwan, as well as Thai artist “O”. The displayed artworks include paintings, sculptures and creative pieces made from recycled materials, highlighting the importance of protecting the environment and reusing discarded materials in innovative ways.
Through a unique blend of creativity and environmental messages, the exhibition explores the balanced relationship between humans and nature. The artworks reflect the role of art in raising awareness about environmental challenges and encouraging sustainable practices to preserve natural resources for future generations.
Katara said the exhibition reflects its commitment to using art as a platform for education, community awareness and cultural dialogue. It also highlights the foundation’s efforts to support artists and provide spaces for initiatives that combine creativity with humanitarian and developmental values.
The “Environment and Life” exhibition will remain open to visitors until August 2 at Building 18, Hall 2, from 10am to 10pm.
