Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation Katara has concluded its Summer Camps 2026, marking weeks of cultural, artistic and educational activities that engaged children and received appreciation from participants and parents.
Held from July 5 to 29, the camps attracted around 190 children from different age groups who participated in 11 specialised programmes organised across Katara’s facilities.
The programmes aimed to develop children’s creative, intellectual and practical skills through interactive activities supervised by specialists in culture, arts, science, media and heritage.
The summer camps included Heritage and Traditional Crafts, Al Thuraya Summer Camp, Little Actor, Literature, Photography, Smart and Strong, Summer Ceramics, Visual Arts, Religious Studies, Beauty from Our Heritage and Silent Comedy.
Participants explored various fields including acting, creative writing, public speaking, photography, handicrafts, ceramics, visual arts, heritage and science. The activities encouraged teamwork, creativity and learning through practical experiences.
Parents praised the quality of organisation and educational content, describing the camps as a safe and inspiring environment that helped children develop confidence and make productive use of their summer vacation.
Katara said the summer camps reflect its commitment to supporting young generations, discovering talents and promoting culture, arts and heritage through programmes combining knowledge, creativity and entertainment.
