On July 24, the newly formed Lakshmipur District Association Doha Qatar officially handed over its committee to the outgoing Bangladeshi Ambassador to Qatar, Mr. Md. Nazrul Islam, during a courtesy meeting held at Al Hilal, Bangladesh Embassy.
Md. Bahar Uddin, President of the Association, led the delegation during the meeting. Several Qatar-based journalists were present, including E. M. Akash, Founding President of the Qatar Bangla Press Club; former General Secretary Amin Bepari; and senior journalists Johnny and Ismail Khan.
During the interaction, Ambassador Md. Nazrul Islam expressed his appreciation for the initiative and said, “I am departing for Russia on my next assignment. I wish all the best to the people of Lakshmipur and encourage everyone to stay united.”
The event marked a meaningful step in strengthening community ties among Bangladeshi expatriates in Qatar.
