Doha, November 24 (QNA) – The Ministry of Interior (MOI), represented by the General Directorate of Passports, started its course on detecting document forgery and identity theft, with the participation of several officers from the MOIs of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
The course aims to equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to detect document forgery using modern technologies, as well as uncover identity theft.
Participants will learn about the concept of identity theft and the reason for its emergence, ways of correctly verifying and comparing photos and the challenges that come with it, and modern forgery methods and how to check them.
The course also covers the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) recommendations regarding documents, smart and reliable applications, document applications and how to use them, as well as the proper steps done during forgery detection procedures and preparing related reports.
