DOHA, Qatar, August 14: New Shane Lahore Restaurant, Bin Mahmoud Branch, hosted a special community lunch to mark Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, bringing together prominent community figures, educationists, business leaders and members of the Pakistani community in Qatar.
The gathering was organized in a warm and patriotic atmosphere, providing an opportunity for members of the Pakistani community from different walks of life to come together and celebrate the historic occasion.
Among the distinguished guests were Chaudhary Mohammad Ajmal, prominent community leader; Fawad Rana, Chairman, Pakistan Business Council; Riyaz Ahmad Bakli, Director, TNG School; Chaudhary Mohammad Afzal, Principal, Pakistan International School; and Ali Zulqarnain, Principal, Bright Future International School, along with other prominent community members.
The guests reflected on the significance of Pakistan’s Independence Day and paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the leaders and people of the Pakistan Movement for the creation of an independent homeland.
Speaking on the occasion, community representatives said that Pakistan’s Independence Day is not only a day of celebration but also an opportunity to remember the sacrifices of the nation’s founding fathers and renew the commitment to the country’s progress, unity and prosperity.
They observed that Pakistanis are fortunate to have their own independent country where they can live with a sense of identity, dignity and freedom. They stressed the importance of promoting unity, mutual respect and positive contributions to Pakistan’s development while living abroad.
