Doha, September 02 (QNA) – The Permanent Web Summit Organising Committee reviewed preparations for the fourth edition of Web Summit Qatar, scheduled at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center from Jan. 31 to Feb. 3, 2027, during its regular meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Director of the Government Communications Office (GCO) and Chairman of the Permanent Web Summit Organising Committee, Sheikh Jassim bin Mansour bin Jabor Al-Thani, and brought together representatives of government entities and strategic partners, including the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Qatar Investment Authority, Invest Qatar, Qatar Tourism, Qatar Airways, and the Web Summit team.
More than 70 global partners have been confirmed for the 2027 edition, alongside trade delegations from the Netherlands, Germany, France, Pakistan, Bahrain, Italy, Turkiye, and Palestine.
Sheikh Jassim said the fourth edition will focus on turning global interest into opportunities for Qatar’s private sector and startup ecosystem by connecting startups with investors and global markets and attracting partners and expertise. He said the participation of more than 70 global partners reflects the summit’s international profile and role in advancing innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic diversification.
The committee also reviewed the Runway to Web Summit Qatar Embassy Series, delivered by the GCO and Web Summit in major technology and innovation hubs, including Washington DC, Stockholm, and Berlin. It also discussed the Road to Web Summit Qatar bootcamp, which will prepare Qatari startups for investor meetings and the PITCH stage competition at Web Summit Qatar 2027.
