The Honourable Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Shehbaz Sharif, congratulated the national football team on their historic success and praised the players for their dedication, discipline, and commitment to bringing pride and honour to the country.
During their return journey after lifting the prestigious trophy, the Pakistan National Football Team made a brief stopover in Doha, Qatar. During their stay, they received a warm and heartfelt welcome from prominent members of the Pakistani community, Saif ur Rehman Hashmi and Zeeshan Shafi, who represented the Pakistani diaspora in Qatar.
To honour the victorious team, a special reception and dinner were organised at the renowned Matka Junction Restaurant. The players enjoyed traditional Pakistani cuisine and appreciated the opportunity to experience a taste of home while abroad.
As part of the celebrations, the national football team cut a victory cake to commemorate their historic achievement and shared the moment with members of the Pakistani community in Qatar.
Following the reception, Saif ur Rehman Hashmi and Zeeshan Shafi hosted the team on a tour of Doha, showcasing the city’s iconic landmarks, modern skyline, and world-class attractions. The players also enjoyed a memorable boating experience along Qatar’s scenic waterfront.
The members of the Pakistan National Football Team expressed their sincere gratitude for the exceptional hospitality extended to them during their stay.
