Ambassador of Pakistan to Uzbekistan, H.E. Muhammad Mudassir Tipu Issues Resounding Statement
TASHKENT – (Report by Dr. Abdul Rehman Usama) Pakistan’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan, H.E. Muhammad Mudassir Tipu, announced that Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey jointly signed the historic Makkah Joint Defense Agreement in Makkah on Friday, August 7, 2026. In his statement, Ambassador Tipu described the agreement as a testament to the depth and strength of the fraternal relations between the leadership and peoples of the three nations.

Highlighting a key clause of the agreement, the Ambassador stated that under this accord, any external armed attack on one of the three countries would be considered an attack on all three. This measure is in full compliance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, which grants nations the right to collective self-defense. Ambassador Tipu further emphasized that the “Makkah Agreement” is purely defensive in nature and is not directed against any country in the region. Its primary objective is to foster peace, stability, and mutual cooperation in the area.

Ambassador H.E Muhammad Mudassar tipu has added that the agreement is open to all nations willing to adhere to its fundamental principles of mutual respect, cooperation, and the peaceful resolution of differences. Ambassador Tipu affirmed that this agreement would further deepen cooperation in all defense sectors among the three brotherly countries and set a new precedent for unity within the Muslim world.
