MIRPUR: ( AJK): June 30 ( APP): Deputy Commissioner Chaudhry Sajid Aslam Tuesday lifted the temporary restrictions imposed on private hostels across the district, allowing them to resume normal operations, it was officially stated.

Deputy Commissioner told APP here on Tuesday that all private hostels in the district had been ordered to close temporarily in view of the strike call announced by the banned Joint Awami Action Committee and to ensure the maintenance of law and order in the recent past.

Quoting his official circular to this direction, the DC stated that the closure orders have now been withdrawn following an improvement in the security situation and the restoration of normalcy in the district.

“The district administration has directed hostel owners to continue their activities as usual and ensure the provision of necessary facilities to students residing in their hostels”, he added

Sajid Aslam underlined that the decision to restore hostel operations was taken after a review of the prevailing situation to prevent disruption to academic activities and to ensure that students do not face accommodation-related difficulties.
