Moscow, April 26 (QNA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin received a letter from US President Donald Trump regarding Washington’s efforts to end the war between Moscow and Kyiv.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Steve Witkoff, the US president’s special envoy, delivered the letter, which touched on the possibility of resuming direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
Trump described the ongoing talks between Washington and Moscow as a pivotal moment in diplomatic efforts to end the war in Ukraine, with Witkoff continuing to serve as Washington’s main interlocutor with President Putin as part of efforts to reach a settlement between the neighboring countries.
Witkoff held three extended meetings with Putin, the most recent of which took place on Apr. 11 in St. Petersburg
