DOHA, May 21 (QNA): HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani attended the graduation ceremony of the 10th cohort of master’s students at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies on Thursday, alongside several Their Excellencies the Ministers, and Dr. Azmi Bishara, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Institute, as well as board members.
The ceremony, held at the Sheraton Doha Hotel, marked the graduation of 246 students from the Institute’s master’s programs. The graduates included 163 students from the School of Social Sciences and Humanities and 83 from the School of Economics, Administration, and Public Policy. They represented 32 nationalities, including 100 students supported through the Qatar Fund for Development under the State of Qatar Scholarship Program for International Students. The cohort also included 73 Qatari graduates.
During the ceremony, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, HE Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Ali bin Saud Al-Thani, Dr. Abdelwahab El-Affendi, Dr. Amal Ghazal, and deans of the colleges presented certificates to graduates. HE Dr. Abdulaziz Al Horr also participated in awarding diplomas to graduates of the executive master’s program in Diplomatic Studies and International Cooperation.
With this cohort, the Doha Institute has now graduated ten batches since its establishment, bringing the total number of alumni to 1,886. Many graduates have pursued doctoral studies at leading international universities, while others serve in academic, professional, and research roles globally.
The Institute currently offers 20 internationally accredited master’s programs across its two schools, along with eight doctoral programs.
